WARRANTY INFORMATION

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Except as otherwise provided below Hu-Friedy products carry a lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, and Hu-Friedy will, at its option, repair or replace any product that fails as a result of such defect. Product "lifetime" means the ordinary expected life, which varies by type of product. Hu-Friedy guarantees against breakage, joint failure, and corrosion under normal use. Products that show expected wear under ordinary use are not considered to be defective. Please call Hu-Friedy Technical Services at 1-888-TEC-TECH (1-888-832-8324) with questions about the expected life of any specific product type. Modifying or retipping an instrument or failure to provide proper product care, including cleaning and maintenance, may void this warranty. Sharpening and repairing minor tip damage are considered routine maintenance with normal use, and are not covered by warranty.

Anodized Aluminum (Felts and Goldsteins):
Special care needs to be exercised in cleaning and sterilizing these coated aluminum instruments. Do not clean in an ultrasonic unit, commercial/residential grade washer or dental automated washer. Check product labels for caution about use with aluminum. Sterilize in autoclave, chemiclave, or dry heat under 350°F or 177°C according to manufacturer's instructions. Selected cold disinfectant or sterilizing solutions can be used but check product labels for caution about use with aluminum. The use of an iodophor solution is not recommended, as iodophors are destructive to aluminum. Note also that anodized aluminum instruments when sterilized with stainless steel instruments may cause an adverse chemical reaction.
